Vemo is excited to participate and support the annual EHRG (Energy Human Resources Groups) conference hosted by Entergy in beautiful New Orleans May 7th and 8th. Several of the energy group members participate in an annual survey that provides valuable industry benchmarking and Vemo looks forward to presenting the 2017 results live at the conference. Vemo in partnership with the EHRG steering committee has put together a dynamic agenda for the metrics group and Vemo was pleased to invite several partners to share on various topics of interest. We would like to introduce and highlight a few key presentations prior to the upcoming event:
Vemo Partner – Camden Delta
Topic: Getting Started with Workforce Planning
- How can you pull together qualitative and quantitative data to create a compelling story and drive a workforce planning effort?
- What questions must we ask to understand the business strategy, and how and when should we ask them?
In this hands-on session, Camden Delta will provide templates and techniques that will strengthen your ability to make connections between business strategies and people data. They will share the questions workforce planning consultants ask of leaders, as well as strategies for getting permission to ask those questions. They will also show real examples of how companies pulled together data from multiple sources to build consensus around the current state and drive home the need for action.
Vemo Partner – Morneau Shepell
Topic: Vedawork
Leveraging AI and machine learning to save organizations money and optimize HR Program Delivery. Using artificial intelligence (AI), Morneau Shepell has developed Ava™, an intelligent, automated HR assistant, to help meet the need for simplification.
Vemo Partner – Mercer
Topic: Automation, Occupational Adjacencies, and the Future of Work in Energy
Mercer has some interesting study results on the potential impact of automation on energy-sector jobs, as well as some research they are doing that examines how HR can recruit for skills rather than jobs.
The conference is sure to be rewarding and insightful with representatives from dozens of utilities. If you are a utility and interested to find out more about this group and how to get involved please click here.
